The Arizona State Sun Devils Women's Volleyball program blends a rich history with recent national prominence. Founded as a varsity program in 1976, ASU volleyball has grown into a top-tier program known for competitive play, strong student-athlete leadership, and loyal fan support. Under head coach JJ Van Niel, who joined ASU in 2022 and has signed through 2029, the program captured back-to-back Big 12 regular-season titles in 2024 and 2025, marking the school’s first conference championships. The Sun Devils earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament with standout runs including a 2023 Sweet 16 appearance and second-round appearances in 2024 and 2025. ASU consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally in 2024 (No. 8) and 2025 (No. 9). Home games are played at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, with Mullett Arena used when scheduling requires.
