The Arizona State Sun Devils Women's Volleyball program blends a rich history with recent national prominence. Founded as a varsity program in 1976, ASU volleyball has grown into a top-tier program known for competitive play, strong student-athlete leadership, and loyal fan support. Under head coach JJ Van Niel, who joined ASU in 2022 and has signed through 2029, the program captured back-to-back Big 12 regular-season titles in 2024 and 2025, marking the school’s first conference championships. The Sun Devils earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament with standout runs including a 2023 Sweet 16 appearance and second-round appearances in 2024 and 2025.
