The Little Foxes is a play by American playwright Lillian Hellman. Written in 1939, the play focuses on the life of Regina Hubbard Giddens as she yearns for wealth and freedom in the early 20th century. Regina has to navigate through societal confines, her husband Horace and her two brothers, Benjamin and Oscar, all while trying to hold her own family together. The Little Foxes first premiered on Broadway in 1939 and has many of the world’s best actresses take over the lead of Regina in the revivals that have followed, including Anne Bancroft, Elizabeth Taylor (who was nominated for a Tony Award in her performance) and Stockard Channing.
