2013 Record: 11-5 Andrew Luck took another huge step forward in 2013. The second year quarterback led the Colts to the playoffs and to the second largest playoff comeback win in history. The 28 point comeback occurred against the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card game. The dream season ended the next round, however, where the Patriots easily defeated the Colts. Luck who only threw nine interceptions, threw seven in the two playoff games. He will have to take better care of the ball in big games if the Colts want to advance. The year 2013 was the year of the injury for the Colts. Tight end Dwayne Allen, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, and star receiver Reggie Wayne all suffered season ending injuries early on in the year. The Colts were able to overcome those injuries but will need to get and stay healthy in 2014. Hakeem Nicks signed in the off season and should provide Luck with another option downfield. In somewhat of a shock the Colts traded a first round pick for Browns running back Trent Richardson after week three. Richardson, who struggled in his first year with the Colts, should see an increased workload with fellow backfield mate, Donald Brown, being dealt to San Diego. There are plenty of reasons Colts fans have to be optimistic heading into 2014. With one of the best up and coming players in the league the Colts are heavy favorites to repeat as division champions in the AFC South.
