Much of the momentum the Bears gathered from defeating the Packers has dissipated after another loss to the Redskins this past Sunday. It was, however, another one score game where the normally reliable Robbie Gould could not get the job done. With the playoffs now officially out of the picture, the Bears can begin to turn their attention to next season. Finishing the regular season on a high note can provide some solid momentum heading into next year. Even with the late struggles, this Bears team has still surpassed expectations. John Fox has this team heading in the right direction. Head to Gold Coast Tickets today to support the Bears the rest of the season! Bear down! New front office, new coach, new season. The Bears have hit the refresh button for 2015, a welcome change for a fan base disgusted by the 5-11 2014 season. New coach John Fox is a proven winner and has been at this a long time. He’s talked about rebuilding the defense in line with Bears tradition, and he gets powerful linebacker Pernell McPhee in free agency to work with. The Bears also signed LB Sam Acho, WR Eddie Royal, and and safety Antrel Rolle to replace Chris Conte. In the draft, the fan base was excited at the pick of West Virginia slot receiver Kevin White with the #7 overall pick. Speedy White will lineup alongside Alshon Jeffery with Matt Forte in the backfield and, yes, embattled QB Jay Cutler for another year. Cutler wasn’t as bad last year as his public image would suggest, but it still remains to be seen if he’ll push this team. But those names and better playcalling, the offense should be fine. The 30th-ranked defense is the biggest question of the season, and that’s where Fox comes in. The Chicago Bears operate at Soldier Field in Chicago under head coach John Fox. Fox is in his first season as coach after the firing of Marc Trestman at the end of a disappointing 2014. It marked the fourth straight season with no playoffs and worst season since a decade in terms of record. New GM Ryan Pace, the youngest GM in the NFL, takes over a proud franchise that holds eight NFL Championships and, of course, the 1985 Bears’ Super Bowl XX victory. Their only other Super Bowl appearance came in the 2006 season, but they have 18 division titles and 26 playoff appearances all time. With Forte aging and Cutler seemingly already on his way out of town, it remains to be seen where the future of this organization will take them. But Pace and Fox are two great staff to take the team forward. Look for other draftees DT Eddie Goldman (Florida State), C Hroniss Grasu (Oregon), RB Jeremy Langford (Michigan State), and FS Adrian Amos (Penn State) to get playing time right away. 2015 home opponents include Green Bay, Arizona, Oakland, Minnesota, Denver, San Francisco, Washington, and Detroit. Bought my Bears-Bills tickets from Gold Coast Tickets, Although the Bears couldn't pull out the win, the view from our seats was even better than I had thought. I was also pretty impressed with the wide variety of tickets that were available!
