2013 Result: 29-53, missed playoffs After a few bad years, the Wizards took Kentucky point guard John Wall first overall in 2010. Wall has had to do it by himself ever since as the Wizards still struggle and he has never sniffed the playoffs. The roster now is an odd mix of low ceiling young talent, like Kevin Seraphin and Jordan Crawford, and washed-up veterans, like Nene Hilario and Emeka Okafor. They do have Bradley Beal, Wall, and Georgetown forward Otto Porter Jr. to build around, but they’re too young to win yet. Martell Webster has become a nice piece to have for his three-point shooting but not much else. Hopefully the Wizards find some diamonds in the rough on their roster, helping them return near respectability to sign free agents. Watch Porter unleash dominance in his rookie season with Gold Coast Tickets! The Washington Wizards are based in Washington, D.C. and play basketball in the Southeast Division and Eastern Conference of the NBA. The Wizards were founded as the Chicago Packers in 1961 and in two years they would move to Baltimore where they would change their name to the Bullets. As the Baltimore Bullets, they would go on to win three division titles and one conference title before becoming the Washington Bullets in 1974. The team would win their first and only NBA championship in 1978 with help from NBA greats Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld. In 1997 they were renamed the Washington Wizards and are still looking for their second NBA championship.
