2013 Result: 25-57, missed playoffs The Suns have really fallen off the planet since the days of Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire, and even Shaq.  And now their roster is a very odd mix of low-ceiling players and random veterans.  Goran Dragic (14.7 PPG) led the team in scoring, miscast as a starting point guard.  Luis Scola (12.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG) was probably the most productive player, but even he had a real down year by his standards.  Jared Dudley and Shannon Brown are those low-ceiling guys mentioned before.  And Michael Beasley can’t get out of his own shadow of unfulfilled potential, playing on his third team just five years after being drafted #2 overall by Miami.  Jermaine O’Neal is here, and theoretically you could chalk that one up to ‘veteran leadership’.  But they did make some good moves this offseason, notably drafting Maryland center Alex Len with the 5th pick and trading Dudley and a draft pick to Milwaukee for PG Eric Bledsoe and SF Caron Butler.  At least both are established names.  Maybe the Suns can finally unlock Bledsoe’s potential, most of which remains untapped.  But Marcin Gortat is not a viable starter for a playoff team, so hopefully Len develops quickly.  With this infusion of youth, the Suns will be much more exciting to watch this year than before.  Make sure to get your tickets for this Suns season from GCT!   The Phoenix Suns represent the city of Phoenix, Arizona in the Pacific Division and the Western Conference of the NBA.
