2013 Record (90-72) Lost to Rays in Playoffs The 113th season for the Cleveland Indians was a successful one. The Indians finished with a record 18 games above .500 finishing second behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central. With first year manager, Terry Francona, at the helm the Indians made the playoffs in the wild card spot before getting bounced by the Tampa Bay Rays. Looking at the 2014 season, the Indians look to build off a successful 2013 campaign with much of the same roster returning. Terry Francona looked to be a calming influence on the club after he was chased out of town in Boston. Francona will have to make sure to push all the right buttons again to compete in the AL Central. The Indians return their leader in RBIs, Home Runs, Avg, OBP, and Hits from last year’s team.. Michael Brantley, looks to step forward as the team's most consistent offensive threat. The left fielder is currently leading the Indians in all five major offensive categories. Also on the offensive side of the ball the Indians look for second baseman, Jason Kipnis and catcher, Carlos Santana to help carry the load. Pitching wise, the Indians were unable to hang on to starting pitcher Ebaldo Jimenez who made his way to Baltimore. His departure has paved the way for other starting pitchers, Justin Masterson and Corey Kluber to fill the void. The Indians currently find themselves in last place in the division but there are games to be played. With an experienced manager and playoff tested roster the Indians look to make a push the rest of the season to get back into the playoff race. Don’t be the one who misses out as the Indians make their run. Head to Gold Coast Tickets today to get in on the action!
