Since 2002, Stay Tuned, the self-proclaimed Ultimate Television Rock Experience, has been sharing their unique arrangements of popular T.V. themes such as “Charles in Charge”, “Happy Days”, and “Gilligan’s Island” with audiences all over the Northwest. The brainchild of keyboardist / vocalist Phil Etting during his days studying music at California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles, Stay Tuned became a reality when he moved to Seattle with long time friend and bassist Will Lanni, met drummer Don Davis, and quickly starting arranging the popular T.V. themes from his youth. Stay Tuned has performed with national touring acts such as Super Diamond, Storm Large (from Rockstar: Supernova), The Squirrels, and Optimus Rhyme, with local tribute acts such as 1234, The Misfats, Maiden Seattle, and Devil’s Food, and have performed at venues / events all over the West Coast ranging from large venues such as The Showbox, Fenix Underground, El Corazon, The Red Devil Lounge (San Francisco), SeaFair, The Fremont Oktoberfest, The Les Schwab Amphitheater (Bend), and Taste of Tacoma to more intimate venues such as The Sunset Tavern, The Funhouse, The Central, The Rendezvous JewelBox Theater, The High Dive, and Molly Malone’s (Los Angeles). They have been featured on Evening Magazine on King 5 TV Seattle, The BJ Shea Experience and The Freakshow With Ronny T on 100.7 The Buzz in Seattle, Variety Mix with Cheryl Waters on 90.3 KEXP in Seattle, written about in The Seattle Times, The Stranger, Seattle Weekly, The Orion, and The Chico News & Review and were nominated for the 2004 and 2005 Seattle Weekly Music Award for Best Tribute Act. Ian "Prime Time" Sterling of KBSG in Seattle has said about Stay Tuned: "If you get enough (Jaegermeister) shots down ya ... this would be the best band you've ever heard.". Stay Tuned’s debut album, This Is Only A Test, was released in 2005 and was produced by Stay Tuned and Brin Addison (whose previous producing credits include artists Chris Cornell, the Smashing Pumpkins, Smashmouth, and The Indigo Girls). Their follow up album, The Last T.V. Dinner, is slated for release in November 2010 and was also produced by Stay Tuned and Brin Addison. Read more on Last.fm.
