Although basketball reigns supreme in southern Indiana, the Hoosiers football team is trying to make some noise of their own this season. After slow and steady improvement in each of Kevin Wilson's first four years in charge, year five is a big one in Bloomington. The departure of All-American running back Tevin Coleman to the NFL will not make Wilson's job any easier. Quarterback Nate Sudfeld was on his way to a solid season before breaking his collarbone. The senior is back for his final year and will need to be one of the best at his position in the Big Ten if the Hoosiers want to make a bowl game. To fill the void left by Coleman, Coach Wilson was able to add Jordan Howard. Howard, a running back from UAB, ran for nearly 1,600 and 13 touchdowns last season. Although it will a tall task to approach the Tevin Coleman level of production, the veteran should be an impact player. The Indiana offense cannot solely rely on its run game, as we found out last year. Sudfeld will need help from his group of receivers that include Marqui Hawks, Camion Patrick and Jordan Fuchs. The Hoosiers defense has been the downfall in the Kevin Wilson era. Last season the Hoosiers changed it up, going to a 3-4 defensive scheme but that was unable to keep them in most games. Was the victory over ranked Missouri last year an aberration or a sign of things to come in Bloomington? Get your Indiana Hoosiers tickets today!
