Three seasons in the Pac-12 have shown steady progress from Utah.  2011-12’s 6-25 campaign was rock bottom, followed by a 15-18, then last year on the Tournament bubble at 21-12.  In fact, pulling out wins either January 2 against #10 Oregon or February 19 against #4 Arizona at home would’ve probably propelled them into the Tournament, but they fell short in overtime in both games.  Give credit to coach Krystkowiak for getting the most out of this roster.  He’s no Coach K, but did get this team to produce offensively and defensively for a strong point differential.  6’5” guard Delon Wright is a beast who does it all--how often does a guard record more boards than assists?  Throw in 2.5 steals and more than a block per game, and he could be one of the most exciting players in college this winter.  Jordan Loveridge and Brandon Taylor return coming off averaging double-digit points last sophomores.  In fact, only one senior played for Utah last year.  Watch out for the Utes.              The Utah Utes operate under coach Larry Krystkowiak at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The Utes have yet to make the NCAA Tournament since joining the Pac-12 three seasons ago with their last appearance coming out of the Missouri Valley in 2009.  The Utes were a regular threat out of the Western Athletic Conference for years through the 90s and even a bit before that, winning the national title in 1944 and making the title game in 1998.  They’ve made four Final Fours, 15 Sweet Sixteens, and 27 NCAA Tournament appearances.  27 former Utes made it to the NBA, including Tom Chambers, Andre Miller, Keith Van Horn, and Andrew Bogut.  Gold Coast Tickets can get you the best deal on Utah basketball tickets!
