Charlie Murphy got his start as a cast member & writer for Chappelle's Show in 2003.  He's the older brother of actor/comedian Eddie Murphy but didn't come into his own until his involvement with Chappelle's Show.  His popularity grew when he performed his original sketch Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories.  The sketch featured Charlie telling stories from the past as a member of his brother Eddie's entourage with celebrities like Rick James & Prince.  After host Dave Chappelle left the show after its second season, Charlie took over hosting duties on Chappelle's Show for "the lost episodes" which featured sketches that were produced before Chappelle departed the show.  Since the demise of Chappelle's Show, Murphy has done voiceovers for cartoons, tv commercials & video games as well as his own comedy special Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize in 2010.

George Lopez had been performing stand-up comedy for several years before being approached by Sandra Bullock to produce & star in a sitcom.  Bullock noticed the lack of Hispanic sitcoms on American TV & lobbied to get a sitcom that starred Hispanics instead of being exclusively about the Hispanic community.  ABC (American Broadcasting Company) picked up the show after being criticized for their lack of Latinos starring in their programs.  Lopez is the co-creator, writer, producer and star of the show George Lopezwhich ran from 2002-2007.  Lopez hosted his own late night talk show in 2009 titled Lopez Tonight which ran for 2 seasons on TBS & ended in 2011.  In 2008, Lopez did the voice acting for Papi in Beverly Hills Chihuahua & has since done voice overs in Marmaduke, The Smurfs, The Smurfs 2, Rio, Rio 2 as well as the sequels to Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
