Blackhawks in the Olympics
The 12 nations competing in hockey for the 2014 Winter Olympics named their rosters today and it's no surprise that the majority of the players are NHL players but what was surprising is that the Blackhawks have 10 athletes who will be wearing their countries colors come this February. Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, and Patrick Sharp will be playing for Canada. Brent Seabrook who was an Olympian in 2010 was snubbed out this year. Corey Crawford was also on the cusp of making the team but was edged out by The United States was unable to make the final score in overtime before the Canadians at the 2010 Winter Olympics, the fourth time NHL players were allowed to compete, and finished with the silver medal.
