Lenny Kravitz Takes On The Chicago Theatre
Over the last 20 years, Lenny Kravitz earned the respect of music fans and critics worldwide with his one-of-a-kind sound and tremendous musicianship. The 47-year old Kravitz has been able to fuse elements of rock, funk, soul, R&B, and psychedelic among others to create a unique sound earning him four Grammy Awards and 35 million record sales worldwide.
His ninth studio album, Black And White America, was released in August of 2011 and has received favorable reviews. Lenny takes it back to his roots on this album stating, “this record seems to be influenced by what I was listening to in junior high and high school.” This, according to Lenny, was soul and R&B records that really taught him about producing and arranging music. Black And White America also contains some notable cameos from such hip-hop icons Jay-Z, Drake and Swizz Beatz.
After hitting a long list of U.S. cities, Kravitz will then set his focus on his international tour. The tour will include stops in France, Italy, Australia, Japan to name a few. You can still catch Lenny Kravitz perform before he heads overseas. We have some great tickets left for his January 31st show at the Chicago Theatre, but hurry up because they’re going fast.
