Picture Quiz: March Concert Guide

This month, I have decided to do something a little different to announce the upcoming concerts in March. Below is a collage of fifteen performers that are scheduled to play in Chicago March 4th through March 31st. Can you guess who they are? Here is one hint:

The pictures are in event date order, with the exception of a few artists who are performing more than one night. In the case where the artist has multiple performances, the first performance is what I went by when determining the picture’s place in line.

ONE: The Chieftains

TWO: Iron & Wine

THREE: Girl Talk

The Congress Theatre will host mashup artist Girl Talk two nights, March 4th & 5th at 8PM. Gregg Michael Gillis (a.k.a. FOUR: George Strait

FIVE: Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson will get ‘Up Close and Personal’ during her three-date stop at the Chicago Theatre March 7th, 8th & 9th. She’ll be performing hit songs from her latest release Number Ones so fans can expect to hear songs they know and love. (Image Credit: FOX) GET TICKETS

SIX: Datarock

Norwegian electro-rockers Datarock are set to take the West Loop’s intimate GA venue, The Bottom Lounge for a ride Tuesday, March 8th. Expect to see their signature red tracksuits and a lot of jumping around at the sold out 17+ show (Doors 8PM, Show 9PM). (Image Credit: Knut Aaserud) GET TICKETS

SEVEN: Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi will rock the United Center two nights (March 8th & 9th) on his latest tour, aptly named the 2011 Live Tour. BonJovi.com and 104.3 Jack FM announced that local band, The West Side Winders will open for Bon Jovi for the March 9th performance after winning the “JACK FM’S GIVE IT A SHOT TO OPEN FOR BON JOVI” contest. EIGHT: Sarah McLachlan

NINE: Bright Eyes

Indie folk trio Bright Eyes will return to Chicago to showcase songs from their critically-acclaimed new album “The People’s Key.” The sold-out show was moved to the Riviera Theatre (March 15th) after overwhelming demand at the previously booked Vic Theatre. TEN: Willie Nelson

ELEVEN: Salt N’ Pepa

TWELVE: Kem

THIRTEEN: Yanni

FOURTEEN: Amos Lee

The rising Philadelphia-born star will bring his folk/soul/blues sound to the Vic Theatre on March 26th at 7:30PM. FIFTEEN: Godspeed You! Black Emperor
