2010 Chicago Bears Schedule To Be Announced Next Tuesday
The NFL announced it will release the 2010 regular-season schedule next Tuesday night.
Typically, the NFL announces the schedule at the end of March or early April but this year was a bit delayed to make several adjustments, most notably placing more divisional games at the end of the season.
The idea is that the traditional “resting of starters” for teams that have clinched the playoffs will be eliminated, creating more meaningful late-season match ups.
Super Bowl champs, the New Orleans Saints, will host the season opener on the first Thursday night of the season. Their opponent is unannounced at this time.
This year, the Bears are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. They’ll face the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings at each respective team’s home turf.
We’ll have an update once the official NFL schedule has been released.
