The atmosphere at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison is always a wild sea of red, but it has been especially vibrant through three straight Rose Bowl seasons. After losing quarterback Russell Wilson and many other starters, the Badgers went only 8-5 last season but still made it to the Rose Bowl after an impressive final week win against #12 Nebraska. Longtime head coach Bret Bielema took off to coach Arkansas in the offseason, so Gary Andersen has been hired to replace him. Coach Andersen will have to deal with the departure of running back Montee Ball, who rushed for a ridiculous 1830 yards and 22 touchdowns last season, to the NFL. But not to worry, as senior James White and sophomore Melvin Gordon will lead what will still be a terrific rushing offense. Transfer quarterback Danny O'Brien has left after one year in Madison, so more playing time for sophomore Joel Stave. The Wisconsin Badgers’ football program is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Throughout the years, Wisconsin has won 13 conference titles and is hungry for its first National Championship. Camp Randall Stadium, or simply “the Camp,” is the fourth-oldest stadium in college football. It is located on the south side of one of the Midwest’s most picturesque campuses, UW-Madison lined along Lake Mendota. And at an-NFL sized 80,000+ capacity, Camp Randall is a great place to see a football game. Among Wisconsin’s rivals are Minnesota and Iowa; the Minnesota-Wisconsin rivalry being the most-played rivalry in the country, with over 120 games played since 1890. The Minnesota game is on November 23, but Wisconsin will face an early challenge on the conference schedule against Ohio State on September 28.
