The most successful college football program over the last five years besides Alabama, Oregon has made four straight BCS bowl appearances in addition to eight straight bowl appearances overall, and 15 appearances in the last 16 years. The Ducks have won 12 games in three straight seasons with a ridiculously high-powered offense that scored 49.6 points per game last year (2nd in the country). Quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 32 touchdowns with five on the ground, and he returns along with De’Anthony Thomas (701 rushing yards, 7.6 yards per carry) and Byron Marshall (5.1 yards per carry) as the offense playmakers. The three should rush for over 2,500 yards combined, which means they’ll absorb the loss of 1,767-yard rusher Kenjon Barner. The passing game isn’t quite as notable, but just as effective when used, and you can bet the Ducks will be just fine on their end of the scoreboard. Defensively, the Ducks lose important veterans like linebacker Dion Jordan (Miami Dolphins) from the 25th-best unit in the country last year, but leading sacker Taylor Hart returns and could be a new leader. Oregon is known for its superb depth, so defense isn’t a concern either. Chip Kelly leaving for the NFL and possible upcoming NCAA penalties for recruiting violations hang over the team, but other than that, the Ducks are national title contenders and could easily win the Pac-12.
The Oregon Ducks are members of the Pac 12 Conference. The Ducks play at the lovely Autzen Stadium, which holds about 54,000 fans. They have won 10 conference titles and appeared in 26 bowl games but are still searching for their first national championship. The Ducks played in the Rose Bowl in 2010, the National Championship game in 2011, the Rose Bowl again in 2012, and the Fiesta Bowl last year. This season the Ducks look to find themselves in the National Championship game once again. Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on your chance to see this dominant college football team.
