New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils may have lost to the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup finals, but the 2011-12 NHL season was still an exciting and pretty successful one.  Only one team can be crowned the best and though the Devils didn’t reach the top, second place isn’t a something to sneer at.  Unfortunately, this offseason probably has more than a few New Jersey fans sneering.  The Devils have lost their captain/star-player Zach Parise to the Minnesota after 7 seasons with the franchise.  Since his departure, loses have continued to accumulate: assistant coaches Larry Robinson and Adam Oates, both NHL legends in their time playing, are now out the door and headed for the San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals, respectively.  But fans shouldn’t start tearing out their hair; the Devils still have strong offensive players like Travis Zajac, Patrick Elias, and Dainius Zubrus. And don’t forget aboutIlyaKovalchuk, whose lower back injury will hopefully recover in time for the 2013 NHL season.  Their defense also looks pretty solid with the young Adam Larsson proving he’s got a lot of talent to bring to the table and help from Bryce Salvador and Anton Volchenkov returning.  Oh and then there’s that guy named Martin Brouder, who just appeared in his 5th Stanley Cup Finals with the Devils and resigned for another two seasons.  If the offense can plays consistent and the defense can develop a bit, the Devils will get past a rough summer and remain a powerhouse in the 2013 NHL season.  Don’t wait and get your tickets to all the New Jersey Devils games with Gold Coast Tickets today!

The New Jersey Devils represent the state of New Jersey in the NHL and are members of Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.  Since moving from Colorado to New Jersey in 1982, the Devils have developed into a dominating hockey team.  In the 1994-95 season, the franchise won its first Stanley Cup and has gone on to win 2 more, along win 5 conference titles and 9 division titles.  The Devils have traditionally been a defense-oriented team but with recent acquisitions like Ilya Kovalchuk, the team is slowly shifting to a more-offensive style game.  Goaltender Martin Brouder is among the best to ever play the position, leading the NHL in all-time wins, shutouts, and games played.  The Devils play their home games at the Prudential Center, also known as “The Rock,” which has a capacity of just over 17,500.  The Devils are also recognized for having several rivalries, most notably with the New York Rangers in their Hudson River rivalry.  For more information on the New Jersey Devils, visit their website at: http://devils.nhl.com/index.html.
