Metal band Motley Crue consists of bass guitarist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, guitarist Mick Mars, and singer Vince Neil. They were founded in Los Angeles in 1981 and since have sold more than 75 million records worldwide. Their character as individuals getting into trouble made them even more notable over problems with law enforcement, drugs, alcohol, and more. In the 80s they even staged a few PR stunts by bringing prohibited items, like their spiked clothes, “indecent” porn magazines, and some sort of bomb threat, into Canadian airports while on tour there. But they’ve cleaned up their act and gotten together for one last goodbye. Their last album, Saints of Los Angeles (2008), was a fitting way to close out such a successful career. The final tour will begin in Grand Rapids on July 2. Band members signed an agreement preventing anyone (including any of them) from touring under the name Motley Crue after this tour ends in 2015, so this is truly the end. The tour comes to First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on August 8, and Gold Coast Tickets can get you the best selection of tickets!
