KISS is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable rock bands of all-time, with their black and white face paint and wild stage outfits. They achieved obsessive popularity in the mid to late 70s with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. The sensational group has released 20 studio albums, most recently Monster in 2012, and not including the four solo albums each band member did in 1978. They have supposedly sold more than 110 million records worldwide. They’ve made headlines this year, being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a well-deserved nomination. And then there’s Def Leppard, who also have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. They hit their stride a little later than KISS, in the early 80s through early 90s. They are characterized as coming out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Most notably, two of their albums in Hysteria (1987) and Adrenalize (1992) reached #1 in both the US and UK. And according to a Gold Coast employee who once worked in concert production, Def Leppard is a classy group; right before a Chicago show of theirs some years ago, instead of making obscure and specific superstar requests backstage for their own comfort, they actually invited special needs kids back to hang out with them before the show. Nice move. This extremely rare combo is a once-in-a-lifetime tour for the bands; if you’re a fan, you’ve got to make it to this show. Gold Coast Tickets can help you get there with the best deal!
