2013 Record: 2-14
The Houston Texans chose to ignore their quarterback needs when they selected Jadeveon Clowney with the first pick overall Pairing Clowney with first team all pro defensive end J.J. Watt is a scary thought but that will not solve the all of the Texans problems. After all, the Texans only won two games in 2013. First year head coach Bill O’Brien will bring a new energy to a team that does not lack talent. Longtime quarterback Matt Schaub has moved on after struggling immensely in the 2013 season. It is Ryan Fitzpatrick’s turn now and he won’t be lacking options. Receivers Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins should both top over 1,000 yards. Arian Foster, who battled injuries in 2013, is looking to stay healthy. O’Brien has raved about Foster’s quickness this offseason and expects him to see an increased workload in 2014.
There is simply no way this talented team will win just two games in 2014. However, without consistent play from their quarterback the playoffs may be a year or two away. Expect the Texans to have a bounce back year under Bill O’Brien. Get your seats today with Gold Coast Tickets!
