The Houston Rodeo is more than just a rodeo; it’s more like a festival. The show first began in 1932, and has supported local charities, which benefits the youth of Texas. The rodeo and livestock show also have a lot of concerts, in this “showcase of western culture” some of the country’s biggest country artists will be performing at the Rodeo. Trace Adkins will be headlining on Armed Forces Appreciation Day. Also performing at the Rodeo are Sugarland, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert and other local Texan bands.
