Florida International Panthers

The 2012 Florida International Golden Panthers are ready to take on this years’ college football season and Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection on tickets!

Coming into division I football in 2005, the Golden Panthers are just getting their feet wet on the FBS gridiron. When they first came into division I football they were led on the defensive side of the ball, staring current San Diego Chargers linebacker Antwan Barnes to stuff the middle. However, once Barnes left, the program fell from 2007-2009. However, that was not the end of the Golden Panthers; they were not done proving to the nation that they deserved to play in division I football. Led by head Coach Mario Cristobal at FIU Stadium, which holds just over 23,000 roaring fans, the Golden Panthers set out for their 2010 season a mission. The mission was to show the nation that their small school in Florida could make a bowl game. Not only did they make their first ever bowl game in the Little Caesars Bowl that year, but they also tied for first in the Sun Belt. This great accomplishment and 7-6 season carried their confidence into last season.

The Golden Panthers started the season relentless, winning their first couple games and not looking back, as the team glided to a 8-5 record and an invitation to the Beef ‘O’ Brady Bowl. Now, a Florida International team who has not even been in division I football for a decade has been to two straight bowl games.

This season the Golden Panthers will strive to continue their winning ways, as they look to top the Sun Belt Conference for one last time, because they will be playing in Conference USA in 2013. Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action as the Golden Panthers seek their third straight bowl game. Grab all the best college football season tickets at Gold Coast!
