Soccer Returns to Wrigley Field

Over the last few years the historic Wrigley Field has yet again opened its' doors to events beyond baseball.  Some of the more notable events have included a colliegiate football match-up between the University of Illinois and Northwestern University in 2010 and back to back sold out shows from former Beatle and music icon Paul McCartney in 2011. This year, Wrigley Field will host a soccer match for the first time since 1984 when Italy’s  AS Roma faces off against Poland’s Zaglebie Lubin for the first time in these clubs' history.  The event has been called “Friendly at the Confines” which makes use of the fact the match is considered an International Friendly and takes place at Wrigley Field, nicknamed The Friendly Confines.  To get your AS Roma vs Zaglebie Lubin tickets click Find Tickets below.

AS Roma

AS Roma was established in 1927 and has been one of Italy’s premier soccer clubs ever since.  The current Roma squad features a talented group of players including team captain Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Bojan Krkic Perez. Zaglebie Lubin
