Clemson Tigers

The 2012-13 Tigers, the lowest-scoring team in the ACC, were just generally mediocre overall and got a little beaten up in ACC competition.  They went 13-18 overall but 5-13 in the ACC.  The bad news for them as well is that they’ll be without two of their three leading scorers this season, Devin Booker and Milton Jennings.  KJ McDaniels (10.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG) is the de facto big scorer now, with sophomore Jordan Roper (7.9 PPG) and sophomore Adonis Filer (6.3 PPG) behind.  Those two are both guards, as are their two major recruits, so there’s now an influx of guards on the roster.  We’ll see if Coach Brownell is able to turn that into a strength.

The Clemson Tigers operate under Coach Brad Brownell at the Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina.  They last made the NCAA Tournament in 2011, beating Alabama-Birmingham before losing to West Virginia.  That was the fourth of four straight Tournament appearance years although they did not win a game in any of the first three years.  They endured a decade-long drought between Tournament appearances between 1998 and 2008 but could get back to the Big Dance soon.  15 Clemson players have gone on to the NBA including Tree Rollins, Horace Grant, Dale Davis, Elden Campbell, Larry Nance, and Trevor Booker.  Get your Clemson basketball tickets today from Gold Coast Tickets!
