North Carolina Tar Heels

The Tar Heels wrapped up a typically solid season with a trip to the NCAA Tournament, losing to Kansas in their second game.  P.J. Hairston and James Michael McAdoo led the team in scoring and both will return.  Forward Reggie Bullock, a key member of the team, was drafted by the LA Clippers.  But not to worry as the Tar Heels roster is extremely balanced.  They ranked 14th in the country in points and rebounds per game and 3rd in assists per game despite not having the same individual star power as Duke.  Duke is welcoming in huge recruit Jabari Parker; North Carolina counters with fellow five-star man Isaiah Hicks who should make an immediate impact at power forward.  Center Kennedy Meeks and point guard Nate Britt should also play plenty as four-star recruits.  The Tar Heels are the Tar Heels, meaning good basketball should be played and a home game is a can’t-miss.

The North Carolina Tar Heels operate under Coach Roy Williams at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill.  They have the statistically best home field advantage in the NCAA, sometimes going undefeated at home with rarely more than a few losses.  They’ve won five NCAA championships, most recently in 2009, and have made 44 NCAA Tournament appearances.  UNC is known as a traditional college basketball powerhouse always in contention for a national title.  While not as consistent as Duke in the last decade, UNC is still in very good hands with Williams and the influx of talent they always seem to have brewing.  Get your North Carolina basketball tickets today from Gold Coast Tickets!
