2013 Result: 34-48, missed playoffs
Gold Coast Tickets is now offering a wide variety of tickets to the Toronto Raptors’ 2013-14 NBA season! The Raptors will look significantly different in this fall, as longtime face of the franchise Andrea Bargnani was traded to the Knicks for Steve Novak, Marcus Camby, Quentin Richardson, a 2016 first-round pick, and 2014 and 2017 second-round picks. Bargnani is a former #1 overall pick but had a disappointing, injury-shortened season last year. But the Raptors should be better this season. Under Coach Dwane Casey they will start Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay, Amir Johnson, and Jonas Valanciunas. DeRozan and Gay are an absolutely explosive duo that combined for more than 37 points per game last year. There is plenty here to convince you the Raptors will be just fine without Bargnani. Valanciunas is still developing into the big they thought they were getting in the Draft two years ago. Don’t miss out on the action by getting your tickets to the Toronto Raptors’ 2013-14 NBA season at Gold Coast Tickets today!
The Toronto Raptors are based in Toronto and are members of the Eastern Conference and Atlantic Division of the NBA. The Raptors were founded in 1993 as part of the NBA’s expansion into Canada. As with most expansion teams, the Raptors struggled during their infancy. That would all change after the 1998 NBA Draft when the Golden State Warriors traded rookie Vince Carter to the Raptors in exchange for Antawn Jamison. Carter would go on to help the team reach the playoffs in 2000, 2001, 2002. The Raptors set league attendance records each of those three years and enjoyed a revitalization of the franchise. The Raptors would boast several other distinguished players after Carter’s departure in 2004, most notably Chris Bosh. The team has been in the process of rebuilding after trading Bosh to the Heat in 2010 and is expected to return to success this season.
