After the Bobby Petrino scandal came to pass, Arkansas struggled through a 4-8 season with an interim coach. Enter Bret Bielema, former Wisconsin coach who won three Big Ten titles. Arkansas is accustomed to seasons like 2012—it was their worst season since entering the SEC in 1992. The offense slumped to 91st in the nation despite a highly effective passing game, and the defense was 83rd. Basically the entire team regressed. Arkansas will need a new running back and quarterback, but the wide receivers are a rare strength. The secondary needs help as well, and the recruiting class leaves a ton to be desired, especially in the SEC. The front seven needs help as well; it seems like the entire team is just a watered-down version of what it was. Bielema may be able to make some things happen, but in the SEC West, the best division in college football, it was be near impossible to leapfrog more than a team or two.
The Razorbacks will operate under head coach Bret Bielema at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, which holds just about 76,000 roaring fans. They have one national title, 13 conference titles, and 39 bowl appearances. The NFL plays home to many former Razorbacks, but most notably including star running backs: Oakland Raiders Darren McFadden, Peyton Hillis, and Philadelphia Eagles Felix Jones. Arkansas has only one National Championship under their belt, which came in the memorable season of 1964. Since then the Razorbacks have been in and out of bowl games, making a run for the National Championship again in the 2010 season. The Razorbacks look for revenge this season as they hope to be back in the BCS hunt. Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for your entire 2013 Razorback and college football season ticket needs!
