California Golden Bears

2013: 1-11 (0-9 Pac-12)

It’s hard to accomplish much when you have the worst defense in the FBS, allowing almost 46 points per game.  Cal struggled in 2013.  Their only win was 37-30 over non-major Portland State.  They were flattened by the Pac-12 schedule and non-conference #4 Ohio State and #22 Northwestern.  It was statistically the worst season in 99 years of Cal football, meaning there is really no way they can get worse.  They did pass the ball very well behind QB Jared Goff (3,488 pass yards, 18 TDs) and all the major players are back on offense.  If they can stay in ballgames for longer they can better utilize RB Khalfani Muhammad (6.0 yards/carry).  They did send quality TE Richard Rodgers to the NFL in the third round, but otherwise they are getting most of the core of their team back.  UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, and BYU are the most notable teams coming to Berkeley this fall.

The University of California Golden Bears are North Division members of the Pac-12 Conference.  They operate at recently renovated California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, which holds just over 62,000 fans.  Despite the recent struggles they are by no means an incompetent football program; they made seven straight bowl appearances between 2003 and 2009 and then another in 2011.  The Golden Bears have had many famous NFL players throughout the years like Tony Gonzalez, DeSean Jackson, and Aaron Rodgers.  Cal has claimed five national titles, 14 conference titles, and has made 21 bowl appearances.  They have rivalries with Stanford and UCLA, although Cal will be overmatched by both this season.  The Golden Bears look to get back to their winning ways and Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action.  Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for all your college football needs this season!
