Lollapalooza Spotlight: Rudimental

About Rudimental

The London based electronic pop band rose to prominence in 2012 when their hit single “Feel the Love” topped the UK Singles Chart. “Feel the Love” also was also nominated for a BRIT award, the British equivalent of the American Grammy Awards, that same year. The popular quartet is made up of Piers Agget, Amir Amor, Kesi Dryden, and DJ Locksmith. While Rudimental have achieved multiple Platinum record sales in the UK and Australia, they still remain somewhat unknown in the U.S. That is sure to change after the group takes the stage at Lollapalooza 2014.

Rudimental got its start in the beginning of 2011 when they released their debut single “Deep in the Valley”. It did not take them long to find success as “Home”, their debut album, instantly shot up to number one on the UK Albums Charts in 2013. Although the group has primarily toured around Europe and the UK, they were invited by Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation to perform at the made in America Festival in Philadelphia. Rudimental’s unique and specific electronic sound plays to the groups strength as the members have been influenced by each others different music tendencies. See the group in action this August at Lollapalooza!
