The Hawks have begun to look like a Stanley Cup Championship team as of the last two games but that doesn't erase the poor showing against the Predators a month ago. With Corey Crawford out on a lower body injury, the Hawks look to their lines to both create and defend goals in the meantime.
The first line consisting of Toews, Sharp, and Hossa have been playing well but we could use more aggression from Toews. He's shooting 13.8% and could probably be doing a lot better if he took more shots on goal rather than passing. The second line of Handzus, Versteeg, and Kane, the Hawk's leading scorer, have been doing a great job. This season may be Kane's best as he is on pace to score 40 or more goals and 94 points, 6 more than his career best. This year the team looks more mature and more motivated to raise the cup for the third time in the last five years.
