A Look At Chicago’s Newest Concert Venue: Concord Music Hall
Chicago’s Bucktown area has a new spot for big name concert acts.
Concord Music Hall, located at 2047 N. Milwaukee Avenue near the corner of Armitage and Milwaukee, will feature a broad variety of acts, including electronic, rock, and hip-hop groups. This unique combination comes from the partnership running the new venue in React Presents, which has produced Soldier Field’s Spring Awakening in recent years, Riot Fest, which produces the rock-centered Riot Fest in Humboldt Park each year, and Silver Wrapper, which brings DJs to local clubs.
The first concert in the 1,600-capacity venue took place last night with an Adam Ant show. The venue . Even though Chicago has plenty of similarly-sized venues like the Vic, the House of Blues, the Metro, and the Riviera, its organizers believe their connections will help them land big-name acts and so far their lineup supports the claim.
