SBTRKT @ The Mid

This musical project, the creation of Aaron Jerome, is known for remixes of innovative electronic music from artists such as MIA.  Jerome performs live with Sampha with a show of acoustic and electronic drums from a mixing desk, much like a DJ stand.  They were native masks to support their concept of anonymity in letting the music speak for itself.

The Neighbourhood

California-based alternative rock band The Neighbourhood formed in 2011.  After releasing two EPs they released their first full album, I Love You, in April.  They are known for their black-and-white imagery as you can see in the photo above and in their music videos.

Heartless Bastards @ City Winery

The four-member garage rock band Heartless Bastards will perform their aftershow at City Winery.  Their debut album received highly positive reviews, including from Rolling Stone magazine.  Of their current four members only one remains from the original group, but the message and small-town rock feel hasn’t changed a bit.
