Taj Gibson’s Monster Dunk
The Chicago Bulls took on the Atlanta Hawks last night for what turned out to be a record setting evening for the hometown team. Chicago coasted to an impressive 97-58 win, setting three new franchise records and tying another. The icing on the cake came in the 4th quarter when Chicago’s Taj Gibson posterized Atlanta’s Anthony Tolliver. Franchise records set by Chicago Bulls on 1/14/13
- Franchise record for the fewest points allowed in a game, beating the mark of 59 at Orlando last season.
- Franchise record for the fewest points allowed in a half by holding the Hawks to 20 in the first 24 minutes.
- Franchise record for limiting the Hawks to a .205 shooting percentage in a half, with Atlanta going 8-for-39 in the first.
- Tied a franchise record for fewest points in a quarter, holding the Hawks to five in the second.
