Barry Manilow Postpones/Reschedules Three Chicago Theatre Shows
Singer/songwriter Barry Manilow has been forced to postpone three concert dates originally scheduled for this weekend at the Chicago Theatre due to his recent hip surgery. Originally the three day run was set for February 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The performances have been rescheduled for July 12th, 13th, and 14th. Tickets issued for the February shows will be honored on the new dates listed below at the Chicago Theatre.
- Thursday, February 2nd tickets will be honored on Thursday, July 12th at 8PM
- Friday, February 3rd tickets will be honored on Friday, July 13th at 8PM
- Saturday, February 4th tickets will be honored on Saturday, July 14th at 8PM
In a short statement Manilow expressed his sorrow for the missed shows.
“All of us are greatly disappointed and feel terrible that we are disappointing others,” he said. “We have all worked really hard at creating a new show and at the same time spent hours with physical therapists to stay in shape. Unfortunately, my hips aren’t ready yet, and these hips don’t lie.”
There is no doubt the star is disappointed after having worked on this new concert series for quite some time. Doctors say his hips are not quite ready but are almost there. Manilow will continue his other tour dates starting in late February.
