Katy Perry, Def Leppard Postpone Chicago Shows
Looks like there's only one big pop star in town tonight - what was once a Katy Perry vs. Britney Spears showdown for fans, is now a Britney win by a landslide. But not by choice. Looks like Katy Perry had a bad snack or two prior to performing at Summerfest's Marcus Amphitheatre Thursday evening. According to her website, she postponed tonight's Allstate Arena show as well as a performance in Minnesota tomorrow due to "an attack of food poisoning leading to severe hydration." The show has been rescheduled for August 21st at the Allstate Arena and all tickets will be honored for the new date. (The St. Paul show has been rescheduled for August 23rd.) If you're suffering from heartbreak from the cancellation, there's still time to get Britney Spears tickets for tonight's United Center performance with opening act Nicki Minaj. Def Leppard and Heart were scheduled to perform next Friday, July 15 at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, but have also postponed their show due to a family illness. Their concert has been rescheduled for July 28 and all tickets will be honored for the new show. If you ordered tickets from Gold Coast Tickets for either show please hold onto your tickets for entry into the rescheduled shows. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 312-644-6446.
