2011 Lollapalooza Line-up Announced

2011 Lollapalooza Line-up Announced

At 7:45AM, I saw the telltale green blinking light on my Droid alerting me there was an email waiting to be read. Usually this is a quick delete, delete, delete but this morning I saw something that stopped the ol’ trigger finger from hitting ‘delete’ to the ‘star this item’. Groggily, I had my first look at the 2011 Lollapalooza schedule.

The 20th Anniversary Lollapalooza Festival will kick off in Grant Park August 5th and wrap up August 7th. 3-day passes are still available (as of 4/26) for $215 through Lollapalooza’s website. Tickets are also available here (for those of you who wait until it sells out).

Headliners:

Eminem

Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and Muse are listed in the largest font on the Lolla line-up marquee. Moving down the list to the next smaller size, other headliners are My Morning Jacket, DeadMau5, A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley & Nas, The Cars, and Ween.

Although the bands above are solid acts, they are not why I go to Lollapalooza. It’s all about the next 100 or so names on the list. (And as of last year, the Perry’s tent.) So for those of you who enjoy the smaller and “cooler” performances, here’s the rest of the lineup. Enjoy!
