Disney’s Princesses Skate into Chicago
Make way for the most renowned princesses in the land, as Disney on Ice presents Princess Classics this week at the United Center. If you haven't been to an ice show before and have little ones, it's well worth the buck to make it a Disney experience. The professional ice dancers' costumes and sets are a feast for the eyes and everything you would expect from the Disney name. And even though it's technically a "children's" show, there's an atmosphere in the stadium that will have adults smiling, too. Just try and hold back a grin when you witness a three-year-old giggling uncontrollably while donning a tiara and tu tu. Disney is well-known for its touring ice shows, which include characters from their popular feature films and tour under different headliners. Early next year, the Toy Story 3 version will make its way to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont (Jan. 26-Jan. 30) and United Center (Feb. 2-Feb. 13). This week's Princess Classics ice show will take the audience under the sea with Princess Ariel, to a land faraway with Cinderella and to an enchanted French castle with Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan and Snow White will also skate to the songs that every Disney Princess lover will recognize.
