Smashing Pumpkins to Play Benefit at Metro
Hey Pumpkins fans - see your favorite band live and support a good cause at the Metro next Tuesday night. The Smashing Pumpkins and Kill Hannah have announced a concert to benefit Madina Lake's Matthew Leone, who was severely beaten in Chicago last month following his attempt to intervene in a violent domestic dispute. The benefit should hopefully raise a substantial amount of money to aid in the bassist's growing hospital bills. He suffered from a broken jaw, nose and skull. Although he is doing better now, Leone unfortunately did not have health insurance. You may buy tickets directly from the Metro's website three different ways.
- Buy as many $10 raffle tickets as you like for a chance to win 2 tickets. (So, ultimately some fans will go to the show for $5/ea. but there is no guarantee with purchase of a raffle ticket that you will picked as a winner and admitted to the show.)
- Buy tickets for $100/ea. for VIP Balcony tickets. This includes a ticket to the show and access to the Metro balcony.
- Buy a $500 Soundcheck VIP ticket. These ticket holders receive a ticket to the show, a reserved seat at a table in the Metro balcony, admission to a private soundcheck, meet and greet + photo with the band and merchandise items.
