Wrigley Field to host Big Ten rivalry game this Fall
Football is returning to Wrigley Field Saturday, November 20th. The Northwestern Wildcats and Illinois Fighting Illini will face-off in front of 40,000 plus fans in a Big Ten Conference game.
The Bears played at Wrigley for close to 50 years
Kick-off time has not been determined yet, but the Chicago Cubs and Northwestern have scheduled a news conference to announce the details tomorrow (Friday 23rd.)
Wrigley Field has seen football before – it was home to the Chicago Bears from 1921-1970. It’s also hosted several concerts over the last few summers and the NHL Winter Classic (Hawks vs. Red Wings) on January 1st, 2009.
