Team USA Men’s Hockey team gets bye into quarterfinals

It was hard not to feel a bit conflicted during last night’s exhilarating USA/Canada hockey game with four Hawks on opposing ends of the ice.  Despite the love for Toews, Keith, and Seabrook…I’m proud to be an American.  Go Kaner.

What an exciting game – the level of play on the ice was extraordinary and neither team gave up at any point.  Both goalies played very well, but Ryan Miller was a brick wall.  The Canadian team sent 45 (laser) shots his way, and only three slid past him.

The US earned first place in Group A and a bye into the quarterfinals with their 5-3 win over Canada.  Canada will play against Germany on Tuesday at 6:30PM as a result of their loss.
