Farewell to Jersey Boys and The Addams Family
This weekend marks the final performances for two hit musicals in Chicago. Jersey Boys' final curtain call is this Sunday, January 10th. The Tony Award-winning story behind Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons made Monroe Street a destination for tourists and locals alike during its 2+ year run in Chicago. Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth are also leaving Chicago January 10th for their Broadway engagement in NYC after a 2-month pre-broadway production of The Addams Family at the Ford Center. After getting mixed reviews the producer hired experienced Broadway director Jerry Zaks to aid in some revisions that will start to go into effect during the final week of the show and will continue during rehearsals before the open on Broadway. Billy Elliot - The Musical will take over the Ford Center March 18th, but at this time there are no shows scheduled for the Bank of America Theatre. Tickets are still available for the final week of Jersey Boys and The Addams Family.
