Hawks take down Red Wings (3-0 Final Score)

3 shutouts in last 4 games, 2 straight for Cristobal Huet

Huet led the Hawks to another win last night, crushing the already-deflated Red Wings who are battling a string of injuries to key players.

Cristobal Huet’s performance this week earned him the NHL named him the First Star of the week.  He stopped a total of 47 shots in the past two games, 27 against the St. Louis Blues on Dec. 16th and 20 last night against the Red Wings, bringing his shutout total to 3 for the season and leading the Blackhawks to first place in the Western Conference.

Duncan Keith, Brian Campbell, and Dustin Byfuglien also played a part in the win against Detroit, each scoring a goal to seal the deal (3-0.)
