Blackhawks Convention Passes go on sale tomorrow
Weekend passes for the third annual Chicago Blackhawks Convention go on sale to fans at 10AM tomorrow (Wednesday, December 8th.) The convention is the first of its kind in the National Hockey League, but after two consecutive sell-outs, it’s only a matter of time until more teams jump on the convention bandwagon.
Last year, over 10,000 fans took part in the weekend’s activities, which included live broadcasts on WGN Radio 720 and Comcast SportsNet.
The convention will take place at the Hilton Chicago, located downtown at 720 S. Michigan Avenue and dates are set for Friday, July 30th through Sunday, August 1st.
Fans can anticipate autograph and photo opportunities with current Blackhawks players and alumni throughout the weekend. There will also be interactive games, Q&A panels, exhibits, and plenty of opportunities to purchase Blackhawks merchandise.
Who will be there?
According to the Blackhawks website, fans can expect to see Hall-of-Famers and Team Ambassadors Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito, and Denis Sevard. General Manager Stan Bowman, Head Coach Joel Quenneville and players Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, and Patrick Kane will also be there. Eddie Olczyc will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
