Arizona State Sun Devils Basketball

Unlike their hated rivals Arizona, Arizona State is not really known for having a good basketball team.  But things changed in 2014 as ASU made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years behind a 21-12 (10-8 Pac-12) record.  Jahii Carson had a lot to do with it, but he’s a Houston Rocket now and fears are that the program could slip back to irrelevancy.  There are no sure things on this roster; ASU will be way too reliant on freshmen and role players.  While they won’t be as bad as Sun Devil fans had been watching (a combined 22-40 from 2010 to 2012), decline is inevitable here.

The Arizona State Sun Devils operate under coach Herb Sendek at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Arizona.  They’ve made the NCAA Tournament 14 times in school history but just three times since 1995.  Their only Sweet Sixteen came in 1995.  Despite lacking in tournament appearances overall the Sun Devils seem to be on the edge of more consistently strong play.  They’ve recorded five 20-win seasons in their last seven and have produced some solid players of late.  27 players have made the NBA out of ASU, including James Harden, Ike Diogu, Eddie House, Byron Scott, Joe Caldwell, and Lionel Hollins.  Fans, players, and coaches are ready to get back to the Tournament.  Don’t miss out--Gold Coast Tickets can get you the best deal on the best seats!
